Lucy Marston is a UK based award winning architect whose work has been widely published in the architectural and consumer press. She has gained a reputation for producing simple, thoughtful and inspirational modern buildings that have a timeless quality and a strong connection to their locale.
Lucy's particular interest and expertise is with housing and homes. Key to her approach is the consideration of context – physical, social, geographical and historical. It is this, together with the development of a deep and detailed understanding of the building's users and occupants, which characterises and informs her work. She strives to produce buildings that are appropriate and inspiring both inside and out, and which stand the test of time.
Her latest project, Long Farm – a family house in rural Suffolk, has been awarded the
UK Grand Designs Home of the Year 2013.
